AEOquest

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dineshdurai N, an individual (sole proprietor) doing business as AEOquest ("AEOquest", "we", "us") and operating aeoquest.com, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit our website or use the AEOquest platform. By using our services you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash), organization name, and role when you create an account.
  • Billing information: plan, billing address, tax identifiers (e.g. GSTIN/VAT ID), and transaction history. Card and payment credentials are collected and stored by our payment processors (Razorpay and PayPal), not by us.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, device and browser type, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP, collected via server logs and analytics.
  • Content you provide: brand names, prompts, competitor lists, website URLs, and integration data (e.g. Google Analytics 4) that you configure inside the product.
  • Communications: messages you send to sales or support, and email engagement metadata.

2. How we use your information

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, operate, and secure the AEOquest platform.
  • Process subscriptions, payments, invoices, and applicable taxes (GST/VAT).
  • Measure brand visibility across AI answer engines on your instruction.
  • Send transactional messages (receipts, alerts, service notices) and, with your consent where required, product and marketing updates.
  • Analyze aggregate usage to improve the product.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use two kinds of cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are required for the site to function — session authentication, security, and remembering your cookie choice — and cannot be switched off. Non-essential cookies (analytics such as PostHog) help us understand how the product is used; we only set these if you accept them in the cookie banner.

You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer, and you can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to use the service.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers acting on our behalf under data-processing agreements, including: hosting and infrastructure (Railway), payment processing (Razorpay for India/INR, PayPal for international payments), email delivery (Resend), analytics (PostHog), error monitoring (Sentry), and file storage (Cloudflare R2). We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, and as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply.

6. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your country. Where data is transferred out of the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions with transfer restrictions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

7. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations (for example, invoices are retained per tax law). Measurement data and content you created in the product are deleted or irreversibly anonymized within 90 days of account deletion, except where retention is legally required.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email dineshleaf@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

9. Payment processing

Payments are processed by Razorpay (for customers billed in INR) and PayPal (for international customers). Your card or payment credentials are transmitted directly to and stored by the processor under their own privacy policies; we receive only tokenized references, the payment status, and billing metadata needed for invoicing and tax compliance.

10. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for our databases, tenant isolation enforced at both the application layer and database row-level security, least-privilege access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction and will notify affected users of a breach as required by law.

11. Children

AEOquest is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or an in-product notice before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
