Visibility Score explained
What goes into the 0–100 composite, and what counts as a good score.
The Visibility Score compresses "how strongly do AI engines surface this brand?" into a single 0–100 number you can trend and compare. It is a composite — no single factor dominates.
What feeds the score
- Mention frequency — how often you appear across answers to tracked prompts.
- Position — being named first weighs more than being the fifth name.
- Recommendation vs mention — "we recommend X" counts for more than "alternatives include X".
- Prompt coverage — appearing across many prompts beats dominating one.
- Cross-engine consistency — visible on every engine beats a single-engine stronghold.
Benchmarks
| Score | Reading |
|---|---|
| 70+ | Strong — engines treat you as a default answer in your category. |
| 40–70 | Moderate — present but inconsistent; targeted fixes move you fastest here. |
| Below 40 | Low — engines rarely surface you; start with the Discover and Audit steps. |
